We are looking for a Data Tester with SDET experience to join our growing team in the Canada

Location : Canada Remote

Position Overview:

We are looking for a Data Tester with SDET experience to validate backend services, APIs, databases, and data processing for the Nexus application. The role focuses on data validation, backend testing, and Python automation rather than UI testing. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with database/API testing, Azure Data Services, and test automation using Python.

Must-Have Skills

- Data Testing – Database and API Testing
- Azure Data Services
- Test Automation using Python
- Strong SQL and data validation skills
- SDET / backend testing experience

Key Responsibilities

- Test backend services such as Azure Functions.
- Validate data flow, calculations, and algorithm outputs.
- Perform manual and automated API testing.
- Execute SQL queries to validate data across systems.
- Create and execute test cases and regression tests.
- Identify, document, and track defects.
- Develop and maintain Python-based test automation.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
- Work closely with developers, product owners, and data teams in an Agile environment.

Preferred Experience

- Experience testing cloud-based data platforms, preferably Azure.
- Experience with end-to-end data validation.
- Strong understanding of backend services and data processing workflows.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.

Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a Data Tester/SDET with a strong combination of data testing, Azure data platform knowledge, SQL, API testing, and Python automation skills.
