Database SME

Contract Until end of 2028

Remote with occasional travel to Toronto

Must Have Enhanced Reliability security clearance (Canada Level 1)

Key requirements for this role include strong database experience, hands-on experience with the project's core technologies, and working knowledge of OpenShift (OCP).

Skills Required

- Enterprise DB / PostgreSQL administration and support- CockroachDB installation, administration, and support- database performance monitoring and tuning
- Create design documentation and runbooks, and advise/coach other technical team members
- Highly available, cross-region database design, architecture, and implementation, including high-performance storage expertise
- Cross-site data replication (RAFT), backup/restore, and disaster recovery
- Performance and failover testing, data consistency/validation-
- Data security and access control
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in hands-on consulting delivery and support in a client-facing setting, with emphasis on SME-level administration and troubleshooting skills.
