Supply Teacher – On-Call

Appleseed Child Care Centre is looking for reliable, energetic people to join our team as Supply Teachers!

This is an on-call position with no guaranteed weekly hours. Supply Teachers are contacted when regular staff are away and can choose to accept shifts based on their availability.

Responsibilities

- Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities
- Provide a secure, caring, and positive environment
- Follow the classroom’s daily routines and activities
- Assist with snack, bathroom, nap, and transition times
- Work with different age groups and adapt to different classrooms
- Work cooperatively with the regular teaching team

We’re Looking For Someone Who:
- Has experience working with children
- Is reliable, responsible, and energetic
- Is comfortable working with different age groups
- Can adapt quickly to different classrooms and routines




- Lives locally and is available to pick up occasional shifts

Experience in a daycare, school, camp, recreation, or similar settings is an asset.

Please Note:

- Candidates will be required to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check and Standard First Aid/CPR-C before shifts can be offered.
- Candidates must have a valid driver's license and personal vehicle as we have three program sites and supply staff may be required to travel between program sites during supply shifts.
