About the Role:

The DC Department Senior role is a pivotal leadership position responsible for overseeing and optimizing the operations within a distribution center to ensure effective, accurate,



and timely processing of goods. This role involves strategic planning and execution to enhance workflow, manage resources, and maintain high standards of safety and quality. The successful candidate will lead a team, coordinate with various departments, and implement best practices to meet organizational goals and customer expectations.

They will also analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous operational excellence. Ultimately, this position ensures that the distribution center operates smoothly, supporting the broader supply chain and business objectives within the Canadian market.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in distribution center operations or warehouse management.
- Proven leadership experience managing teams in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and distribution center technologies.
- Familiarity with Canadian health and safety regulations applicable to warehouse operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Proficiency in advanced warehouse management software and data analytics tools.
- Previous experience working in a senior role within a large-scale distribution center.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French.

Responsibilities:





- Lead and manage daily operations of the distribution center to ensure efficient processing and distribution of products.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate team members to foster a high-performance work environment.
- Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and inventory teams to maintain optimal stock levels and timely deliveries.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards within the distribution center.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare reports to inform senior management of operational status.
- Identify process bottlenecks and implement solutions to streamline workflows and increase efficiency.
- Manage budgets, resources, and equipment to support operational needs and business growth.

Skills: The required skills enable the candidate to effectively lead and optimize distribution center operations by applying their knowledge of logistics, inventory control, and team management. Strong analytical skills are used daily to interpret performance data and identify opportunities for process improvements. Communication and interpersonal skills are essential for coordinating with cross-functional teams and motivating staff. Familiarity with warehouse management systems allows the candidate to leverage technology for operational efficiency and accuracy.

Preferred skills such as Lean Six Sigma and bilingualism further enhance the ability to implement best practices and engage with a diverse workforce, contributing to overall organizational success.
