Driver - Delivery Services (Part-Time)

Chinook Arch Regional Library System is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable individual for the part-time position of Driver - Delivery Services. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional service in a team-oriented environment.

Reporting to the Corporate Services Manager, the Driver - Delivery Services is responsible for the system-wide distribution of library materials to member libraries across the region. Working as part of a five-person delivery team, the successful candidate will work at least two days per week on a rotating schedule.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate the Chinook Arch delivery vehicle and transport materials to member libraries according to an established delivery schedule.
- Pack, sort, and distribute library materials for member libraries.
- Maintain accurate records related to vehicle operation, mileage, and maintenance.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with member library staff.
- Collaborate with team members and contribute to the achievement of the System's goals and objectives.




- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous library, delivery, or customer service experience is considered an asset.
- Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver's Licence with a minimum three-year satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks, including lifting and carrying materials weighing up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
- Robust organizational skills, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Compensation and Benefits

- Daily Rate: $173.00
- Paid vacation in accordance with Alberta employment standards.
- 11% in lieu of benefits, paid in recognition of the position's part-time status and in place of participation in the organization's benefit plan.
