National Carpentry Installation (NCI) is looking for a reliable and organized Delivery Driver & Shop Coordinator to support our construction teams and day-to-day shop operations.
This position will be responsible for picking up and delivering materials, tools, and equipment to our job sites, receiving shipments at the shop, and keeping track of tools and materials moving in and out of the shop.
Responsibilities
- Pick up construction materials and supplies from suppliers and stores.
- Deliver materials, tools, and equipment to NCI crews at job sites.
- Transport tools and equipment between the shop and different job sites.
- Drive company vehicles, including cube vans and pickup trucks with trailers.
- Receive incoming deliveries and shipments at the shop.
- Check received materials and deliveries and report any missing or damaged items.
- Organize tools, equipment, and materials in the shop.
- Maintain and coordinate the tool tagging and tool tracking system.
- Keep records of tools and equipment going in and out of the shop.
- Coordinate with project managers, supervisors, and site crews regarding required materials and tools.
- Prepare tools and materials for upcoming jobs.
- Help load and unload materials and equipment.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop and storage area.
- Assist with general warehouse/shop duties as required.
Requirements
- Valid driver's licence with a good driving record.
- Comfortable and experienced driving a cube van.
- Able to safely drive a pickup truck with a trailer.
- Able to lift and move construction materials, tools, and equipment.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a construction environment.
- Ability to coordinate multiple deliveries and priorities during the day.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in construction, warehouse, delivery, or material coordination.
- Forklift experience or certification is preferred.
- Experience with construction tools and materials is an asset.
- Experience with inventory or tool-tracking systems is an asset.
What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who is dependable, organized, and takes responsibility for making sure our crews have the right tools and materials at the right job site when they need them.
The successful candidate will play an important role in coordinating the movement of tools, equipment, and materials between our shop, suppliers, and active construction projects.
Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour
