Responsibilities
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the daily calendar to optimize provider availability and patient flow
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or similar systems
- Handle patient check-in and check-out processes, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed efficiently
- Assist with billing, coding, and insurance processing to facilitate timely payments and claims submissions
- Support human resources functions including onboarding new staff, managing staff schedules, and maintaining personnel records
- Oversee inventory management for dental supplies and equipment,
ensuring stock levels are maintained and orders are placed promptly
- Collaborate with clinical staff to coordinate patient care activities and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience in a dental office setting or medical office environment with familiarity in electronic medical records systems like Dentrix
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, billing procedures, and insurance processing protocols
- Demonstrated supervisory or supervising experience in a healthcare or administrative setting
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with human resources practices related to staffing, onboarding, and personnel management
- Experience working in hospital or acute care settings is a plus, along with nursing or medical terminology knowledge
- Ability to handle budgeting tasks related to office supplies and operational expenses efficiently
