Registered Dental Assistant – Full-Time
Location: Gore Bay, Ontario
Job Type: Full-Time
Work Location: In Person
We are currently seeking a Registered Dental Assistant to join our busy and well-established dental practice in Gore Bay. We are looking for a dedicated, compassionate, and reliable individual who enjoys working with patients and being part of a supportive dental team.
The successful candidate will have a passion for providing excellent patient care, building strong patient relationships, and contributing to the ongoing oral health of our community.

Training & Development
We are willing to train the right candidate! While previous dental assisting experience is preferred, we are open to candidates who demonstrate a strong work ethic, positive attitude, willingness to learn, and genuine interest in dental care.
Training and guidance will be provided to help the successful candidate become confident and successful in the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical chairside assistance to dentists and dental professionals.
- Demonstrate proper knowledge and handling of dental instruments.
- Prepare and maintain treatment rooms according to infection control standards and practice protocols.
- Assist with patient care while maintaining a professional, ethical, and compassionate approach.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with patients.
- Follow all practice health and safety requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment.
- Work collaboratively with the dental team to support efficient daily operations.
- Provide patients with a welcoming, comfortable, and positive experience.
- Follow established infection prevention and control procedures.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and respect when interacting with patients and team members.
Qualifications
- Registered and/or certified as a Dental Assistant with the Ontario Dental Assisting Association (ODAA).
- Level II Dental Assistant certification.
- HARP certification required.
- Previous dental assisting experience is preferred, but willingness to learn and train will be considered.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Punctual, dependable, and reliable.
- Professional, friendly, and compassionate approach to patient care.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control, safety, and patient care.
