Duties
- Greet patients warmly, check them in and out, and manage appointment scheduling using Tracker dental practice management software.
- Answer multi-line phone systems promptly, directing calls efficiently to ensure excellent communication.
- Verify patient insurance information, update electronic medical records, and handle billing inquiries with clarity and professionalism.
- Assist dental providers during procedures by preparing instruments, sterilizing equipment, and maintaining a clean operatory environment.
- Manage front desk administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining organized patient records in Epic electronic health record systems.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and ensure all documentation complies with privacy regulations.
- Support the team with general office duties, including inventory management and ensuring a smooth flow of daily operations.
Experience
- Prior experience working in a dental office or medical office setting is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with Tracker dental software, Epic electronic medical records, and familiarity with medical terminology are essential.
- Demonstrated experience managing multi-line phone systems and front desk responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Robust administrative skills with experience handling insurance verification, billing, and appointment scheduling.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, team members, and external vendors.
- Previous experience supporting clinical staff as a Dental Assistant is a plus but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
