Duties

- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, ensuring a sterile environment for each patient.
- Assist dentists during various procedures such as cleanings, fillings, orthodontics, and pediatrics treatments, providing support with precision and care.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) technology to assist in accurate diagnoses.
- Manage patient records using dental software like Dentrix and Epic, documenting treatments accurately and efficiently.
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout visits.
- Handle administrative tasks including scheduling appointments,



verifying insurance information, and managing patient check-in/check-out processes as a dental receptionist.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and medical terminology standards to ensure safety and compliance.

Requirements

- Proven experience in dental assisting with familiarity in dental software such as Dentrix or Epic is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of orthodontics procedures and pediatric dentistry is a plus.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental care practices.
- Experience working with CAD systems for digital imaging is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a rapid-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Certification or training in dental assisting is required; ongoing professional development is encouraged.
