Description

As a Diagnostic Sonographer I, you will perform a variety of standardized and complex ultrasound services for the diagnosis and tracking of disease and pathology.

Your responsibilities include preparing the patient for examination, reviewing patient history, explaining procedures, obtaining ultrasound images of diagnostic quality, and takes initial action to resolve abnormal findings. You will assist with diagnosis, clinical intervention and patient management all while ensuring a high level of patient care and safety. Your work may include assisting Radiologists and Cardiologists, Perinatologists and other medical staff with special procedures where required.

07-SEP-2026 Hours per Shift: 7.75 Length of Shift in weeks: 2 Shifts per cycle: 4 Shift Pattern: Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends, On Call Days Off: As Per Rotation Minimum Salary: $46.96 Maximum Salary: $60.55 Vehicle Requirement: Not Applicable

Required Qualifications

Completion of extended diploma from an accredited ultrasound program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic & Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications

Must be able to work weekend day shifts.

Preferred Qualifications

Canadian Registered Generalist Sonographer (CRGS). Consideration will be given to candidates who are eligible for CRGS. Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position. 3 years minimum working in a clinic or hospital setting Previous Connect Care experience is an asset.
