Our client is opening a brand-new luxury retirement community in Toronto and is looking for an experienced Food & Beverage Manager to join its founding team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a polished, service-driven hospitality leader who enjoys being on the floor, developing teams and creating exceptional guest experiences. You'll have the opportunity to help launch the dining program from the ground up, establish service standards and build a strong front-of-house culture across multiple dining spaces.
Retirement industry experience is not required. Candidates from restaurants, hotels, private clubs, banquet facilities and other service-focused hospitality environments are encouraged to apply.

- Recruit, train and develop a front-of-house team of approximately 20 employees
- Oversee multiple dining spaces, including a main dining room, pub and café

Your responsibilities: - Lead day-to-day front-of-house food and beverage operations across multiple dining spaces
- Recruit, train, schedule, coach and develop a service team of approximately 20 employees
- Establish and maintain high standards of service, presentation, cleanliness and overall guest experience
- Work closely with the Executive Chef to ensure seamless and consistent dining service
- Oversee dining room and licensed pub operations, catering and special events
- Build strong relationships with residents, families and guests, ensuring a welcoming and personalized experience
- Manage staffing, workflow, expenses and departmental budgets
- Help develop events and initiatives that enhance the overall dining and hospitality experience
- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers
- Ensure food safety, Smart Serve, health and safety and other applicable requirements are consistently followed
- Take a visible, hands-on approach to leadership and support dining service and special events as required
What you bring: - 3-5 years of restaurant, hotel, food and beverage or hospitality management experience
- Proven experience leading, scheduling, training and developing a front-of-house service team
- Strong understanding of elevated service standards and guest experience
- Experience with budgets, expenses and cost management
- Polished, professional communication skills with a hands-on, positive leadership style
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Smart Serve certification
- Post-secondary education in hospitality, culinary or food services and Food Handler certification are considered assets
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as required
