Director, Private Client Advisory

Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Director, Private Client Advisory to serve as a trusted advisor to high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth families. This role is relationship-driven and combines financial expertise, strategic thinking, and exceptional client service to help families navigate complex financial decisions and significant personal and business transactions.

The Director will work closely with families with assets ranging from approximately $25 million to more than $100 million, supporting a diverse range of needs across real estate, liquid wealth, philanthropic interests, business holdings, and other personal and family assets.

The successful candidate will build deep, long-term relationships with sophisticated clients and become a trusted resource they can turn to when evaluating major financial, investment, business, and lifestyle decisions.

Key Responsibilities

- Serve as a Trusted Family Advisor: Develop and maintain highly trusted relationships with family members, family offices, executives, and other high-net-worth individuals.
- Provide Strategic Financial Guidance: Work directly with clients to understand their financial objectives, priorities, and concerns and provide thoughtful guidance tailored to their individual circumstances.
- Support Major Transactions: Assist clients with significant transactions, such as the sale or acquisition of businesses, hotels, real estate holdings, and other major assets.
- Evaluate Financial Decisions: Review financial implications of major purchases, investments, liquidity events, and other decisions and help clients understand available options.
- Support Wealth Management Needs: Coordinate and provide guidance across areas including liquid wealth, real estate, business interests, philanthropic activities, and other family assets.
- Facilitate Complex Purchases:



Support clients with significant personal purchases and lifestyle-related financial decisions, ensuring the financial considerations are appropriately evaluated.
- Coordinate with Advisors: Work closely with CPAs, attorneys, investment professionals, bankers, wealth managers, brokers, and other external advisors to help coordinate comprehensive solutions for clients.
- Manage Client Relationships: Serve as a central point of contact for assigned families and ensure requests are handled with responsiveness, discretion, and professionalism.
- Anticipate Client Needs: Develop a deep understanding of each family's circumstances and proactively identify opportunities to provide additional support or guidance.
- Analyze Financial Information: Review financial statements, investment information, transaction details, and other relevant financial data to help clients make informed decisions.
- Support Family Philanthropy: Assist with the financial planning and administration associated with charitable giving, foundations, philanthropic initiatives, and other family priorities.
- Maintain Confidentiality: Handle highly sensitive personal, financial, and business information with the highest level of discretion and professionalism.

Client Environment

This is a highly relationship-oriented position serving sophisticated families with substantial and diverse assets. Client needs can vary significantly from day to day, requiring the Director to be adaptable, resourceful, and comfortable operating across a broad range of financial and personal matters.





The role requires someone who can move seamlessly between strategic financial discussions and highly specific client requests while maintaining exceptional judgment, discretion, and responsiveness.

Essential Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- CPA strongly preferred.
- Significant experience in accounting, financial advisory, wealth management, family office services, private client advisory, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience working directly with high-net-worth or ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families.
- Exceptional relationship management skills and the ability to build trust with sophisticated, high-profile clients.
- Strong financial acumen and ability to evaluate complex financial information and transactions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- High degree of discretion and confidentiality.
- Ability to manage multiple client priorities and respond effectively to changing needs.
- Robust judgment and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with families or individuals with $25M+ in assets.
- Experience across multiple asset classes, including real estate, liquid investments, private businesses, and other alternative assets.
- Family office, private wealth, public accounting, private equity, investment banking, or financial advisory experience.
- Experience supporting business sales, real estate transactions, liquidity events, or other significant financial transactions.
- Established professional network among high-net-worth individuals, family offices, attorneys, wealth managers, bankers, and other professional advisors.
- Experience supporting philanthropic planning, charitable organizations, foundations, or family giving initiatives.
