Duties
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools to uphold health standards
- Assist in basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, assembling ingredients, or portioning supplies
- Support the kitchen team by organizing supplies and ensuring all areas are tidy and well-stocked
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing station and ensure proper disposal of waste and recyclables
- Follow food handling safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure quality standards are met
- Help with general kitchen cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping,
and sanitizing surfaces
- Collaborate with restaurant staff to ensure smooth service flow during busy hours
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a restaurant, hotel, or food service environment is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and food handling safety standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting or bending
- Basic understanding of kitchen operations and food preparation processes
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting colleagues
- Hospitality or food service experience is a plus but not mandatory; eagerness to learn is valued
