Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashing machines or by hand
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including sinks, counters, and storage spaces
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed to support kitchen operations
- Ensure all items are stored properly to prevent cross-contamination and maintain organization in the kitchen
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely availability of clean dishes during busy service periods
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to management promptly
Requirements
- Prior experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Strong understanding of cleaning procedures, food handling, and sanitation standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks efficiently
