Duties

- Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen tools using commercial dishwashing equipment or manual methods
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including sinks, counters, and storage spaces
- Sort and organize clean items for proper storage or immediate use in food preparation or service areas
- Assist with basic food handling tasks as needed while adhering to safety protocols
- Support kitchen staff by providing clean utensils and equipment promptly during busy service times




- Follow health and safety regulations to prevent cross-contamination and ensure proper sanitation standards are met
- Report any maintenance issues with dishwashing equipment or supplies to management promptly

Skills

- Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures and sanitation standards in a food service environment
- Previous restaurant or hotel experience is highly desirable
- Familiarity with kitchen operations and food handling practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Good physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items as needed
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting colleagues
- Basic understanding of food preparation and food service processes is a plus
