Waggy Walks Ottawa is looking for a reliable, responsible, and dog-loving person to join our team as a Part-Time Dog Walker!

We provide fun, safe, and personalized walks for dogs throughout Ottawa, and we're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with dogs and takes pride in providing them with great care.

This position includes both off-leash group adventures and on-leash walks, so comfort handling multiple dogs and a variety of breeds is important.

The Position

- Type of employment: Independent contractor
- Part-time: 16–20 hours per week
- Schedule: Monday–Thursday, generally between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM
- Start and end times will vary depending on the day's schedule and routes
- Areas of service: Carlington, St. Laurent, and Greely
- Opportunity for additional hours if mutually agreed upon
- Both on-leash and off-leash dog walking
- Group walks may involve up to 5 dogs at a time

Compensation

- Paid per dog, rather than an hourly wage

- Confident walking dogs both on and off leash
- Physically capable of walking for several hours throughout the day
- Comfortable working independently
- Friendly, professional, and respectful with clients and their pets
- Able to follow safety procedures and handle dogs responsibly

Requirements

- Reliable vehicle capable of safely transporting up to 5 dogs




- Valid driver's licence
- Proof of insurance
- Previous experience working with dogs is an asset
- Must be comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
- Criminal record check
