Are you passionate about drumming and sharing your skills with others? We're looking for an experienced, enthusiastic drum teacher to join our music school and inspire students of all ages and skill levels.
Position: Drum Teacher
Location: Cloverdale, BC
Job Type: Contract / Part-time
Compensation: $22-35 per hour depending on experience.
Expected Start Date: September 8th 2026
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach private drum lessons (and potentially group lessons) to students of various ages and experience levels.
- Develop customized lesson plans to match each student's goals and progress.
- Inspire students through engaging, positive, and supportive teaching methods.
- Maintain a professional and welcoming atmosphere for students.
- Encourage students to participate in recitals, performances, or music exams (if applicable).
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a drum instructor or performer.
- Proficiency in a variety of drumming styles (e.g., rock, jazz, pop, etc.).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a positive and motivating learning environment.
- Previous teaching experience is a plus, but not required.
- Must be willing to obtain and provide a current Criminal Record Check (including section for vulnerable persons)
- Must have a reliable vehicle and valid BC drivers license.
