PR General Contractors Inc. is looking for experienced Drywall Finishers / Tapers to join our construction team. We are seeking skilled, dependable individuals who can deliver smooth, high-quality finishes on residential and commercial projects.

Responsibilities

- Apply drywall tape over joints and seams.
- Apply joint compound (mud) using hand tools and/or taping equipment.
- Fill joints, screw/nail holes, cracks, and imperfections.
- Apply multiple coats of compound and ensure proper drying and finishing between coats.
- Install and finish corner beads and inside/outside corners.
- Sand finished surfaces to achieve a smooth, paint-ready finish.
- Repair damaged drywall, cracks, holes, and existing surfaces as required.
- Identify and correct visible imperfections before painting.
- Work on walls, ceilings, bulkheads, corners, and other drywall surfaces.
- Safely use taping knives, mud pans, sanding tools, mixers, ladders, scaffolding, and other required equipment.
- Protect surrounding surfaces and maintain a clean work area.
- Minimize material waste and maintain quality workmanship.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and coordinate with drywall installers, painters, and other trades.
- Follow all company and job-site safety procedures.
- Assist with other drywall or construction-related duties when required.

Requirements




- Minimum 1–2 years of drywall finishing/taping experience.
- Experience with taping, mudding, sanding, corner finishing, and drywall repairs.
- Ability to produce a smooth, paint-ready finish with minimal supervision.
- Good knowledge of drywall finishing materials, tools, and techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including overhead work and working from ladders or scaffolding.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation are considered an asset.

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
