We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated DZ Water Truck Driver to join our team based out of our Cambridge operations.
The role of a water truck driver is centered around transporting and delivering water to designated locations, typically within construction or agricultural sites. They are responsible for ensuring the safe operation of their vehicle, maintaining accurate logbook records, and following established safety protocols. Common tasks include filling and emptying water tanks, performing routine maintenance checks, and effectively communicating with supervisors.

Responsibilities
- Perform thorough pre-and post-trip inspections throguh digital data logs of the tractor and equipment, reporting any issues or discrepancies to the appropriate personnel
- Reporting and communicating effectively with dispatchers, foremen, and supervisors
- Must be able to use smart phone applications for ELD and timesheets
- Adhere to all applicable traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies, including wearing appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and maintaining a clean and organized work environment
- Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders, addressing any concerns or issues in a timely and qualified mananer.
Qualifications
- Highschool or GED is preferred
- Valid DZ license
- Recent Clean Driver Abstract / CVOR
- Minimum of 3 years truck driving experience is preferred
- Previous experience operating a water truck would be considered beneficial
- Must be able to drive both manual and automatic transmissions would be considered an asset
- Knowledgeable and reasonable understanding of the Highway Traffic Act and Municipalities Bylaws
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and overtime when required.
- Must pass a CVOR & Abstract check
