Overview

We are seeking a passionate ECA / French Teacher to join our Montessori school team. The successful candidate will hold a full-time ECA position within a classroom while also delivering a structured French program during designated French class times across all programs.

The educator will support classroom educators while providing engaging French instruction through age-appropriate lessons, songs, stories, conversations, and activities for Toddlers & Casa Students.

Responsibilities

- Work full-time as an ECA within an assigned Montessori classroom.
- Deliver a structured French program during designated French class times to children across all programs.
- Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate French lessons and activities.
- Support Montessori educators with daily classroom routines, activities, and transitions.
- Provide attentive care and supervision while supporting children's development.
- Incorporate French naturally into daily classroom experiences when appropriate.
- Encourage independence and participation within the Montessori environment.
- Assist with self-help skills, meals, toileting, and daily routines.




- Maintain a clean, secure, organized, and prepared classroom.
- Support observations, documentation, and curriculum activities.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.

Qualifications & Skills

- ECA certification or equivalent
- Fluent in French and English.
- Previous childcare or early learning experience is an asset.
- Montessori experience or knowledge is an asset.
- Ability to confidently lead structured French lessons with multiple age groups.
- Warm, patient, nurturing, and engaging approach with children.
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
- Current First Aid/CPR and Vulnerable Sector Check as required.
