We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Early Childhood Educator (ECE) or Early Childhood Educator Assistant (ECEA)to join our team, specifically supporting our Before and After School Program for school-age children. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a positive and engaging environment for children and supporting their developmental needs beyond regular school hours.

This role involves planning and implementing age-appropriate activities for school-age children, managing daily program routines, and collaborating with families.

The ECE or ECEA will play a vital role in designing and managing the Before and After School Program, ensuring a safe, structured, and enriching environment that supports children's social, emotional, and cognitive development.

Responsibilities

- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities tailored to school-age children in a Before and After School setting
- Plan and manage daily program schedules, including transitions between school and program time
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all children
- Supervise and engage children during before and after school hours, including indoor and outdoor activities
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
- Maintain accurate records of children's participation, behavior, and development
- Manage classroom routines and behavior using positive guidance strategies




- Utilize computer skills for documentation, planning, and communication
- Demonstrate leadership by guiding assistant staff or interns as needed
- Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and safety standards
- Participate in ongoing professional development

Requirements

- Valid Full ECE or ECEA certification (required)
- Proven experience working with school-age children, preferably in a before and after school program
- Strong knowledge of child development, particularly for ages 5–12
- Excellent communication skills—verbal and written
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to plan and lead structured and recreational activities independently
- Proficiency in basic computer use for documentation and communication
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to manage a energetic group setting
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment
- The working hours can be adjusted according to the before- and after-school schedule.
