Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Education Assistant Instructor to join our agile educational team. In this role, you will support classroom activities, assist with lesson delivery, and foster a positive learning environment for students. Duties
- Deliver Education Assistant course in accordance with the college curriculum, learning outcomes, and academic policies.
- Prepare and deliver engaging lectures, presentations, demonstrations, activities, and practical learning experiences.
- Explain concepts related to educational assistance, inclusive learning environments, child and youth development, classroom support, and student needs.
- Provide students with practical strategies for supporting learners with diverse abilities and learning needs.
- Create a positive, respectful, inclusive, and student-centered classroom environment.
- Develop and administer assignments, quizzes, exams, projects, presentations, and other assessments.
- Evaluate student work and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Monitor student attendance, participation,
academic progress, and overall performance.
- Provide additional academic support to students who require assistance.
- Maintain accurate student records, grades, attendance, and other required documentation.
Experience
- Diploma, degree, or equivalent post-secondary education in Education, Education Assistance, Child and Youth Care, Educational Psychology, Special Education, or a related field.
- Previous teaching, training, instructional, or facilitation experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of inclusive education and classroom support strategies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and classroom-management skills.
- Ability to create engaging learning experiences for students with different learning styles and needs.
- Strong computer and learning-management-system skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with academic and administrative teams.
