The Position:

We are seeking an Education Assistant to work with students in the family home for the 2026-27 school year. This is a part-time contract position that may grow in hours over the course of the school year, depending on student needs and EA skill sets.

- Location: Kitimat, BC
- Grades: 7-10
- Schedule: 10-20 hours per week, flexible during school hours

As an Education Assistant, your duties and responsibilities will include:

- Supporting the behavioural and academic needs of students, providing mentorship to the whole person
- Building foundational literacy and numeracy skills
- Encouraging positive study habits and life skills
- Differentiating learning based on student ability and learning styles
- Collaborating with the Case Manager and the parent to support personalized learning opportunities
- Assisting in carrying out IEP goals,



working alongside the broader student support team

We are looking for someone with the following qualities:

- Background working in Education, EA Support, Behaviour Intervention, or with children/youth
- Professionals with non-EA specific credentials are encouraged to also apply (e.g., psychology, behaviour analysis, social work, coaching, mathematics, etc.)
- A valid Certified Educational Assistant certificate (or training in process) is considered an asset

What we offer:

- Competitive Wage: $23.97 – $28.13 hourly, depending on certification and experience
- Contractor model

Pay: $23.97-$28.13 per hour
