M.V. Shore is currently looking to hire an Electrical Designer/Drafter specializing in building services design with the ability to produce drawings in CAD/MEP and REVIT for Hi-Rise Residential buildings. The designer will be working with a project manager to help on the design and drafting for a given project.

Candidates will need to be highly motivated with positive communication skills. The candidate would work under the direct supervision of a project manage. Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

- Operate computer-assisted engineering and design software such as AutoCAD. Working knowledge and experience in Revit MEP is an asset
- Prepare AutoCAD drawings from sketches, mark-ups and/or design
- Assess engineering requirements, and create production drawings to support project standards
- Review products and shop drawings to confirm they adhered to project requirements
- Liaise and coordinate with clients, other consultants, and contractors
- Design and prepare layouts and specification for lighting, electrical distribution (single line diagrams), emergency power distribution, fire alarm, wiring diagrams,



riser diagrams, cable and panel schedules
- Any associated administration as required
- Any other tasks assigned by Principals or Project Managers required to assist in the success of the firm.

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Electrical Engineering
- Demonstrate a strong desire for advancement and professional development
- Knowledge of Canadian Electrical Safety Codes
- Project / internship experience designing HV substations, fire alarms, lighting, emergency power generation, MV and LV distribution systems, and/or electrical systems required
- Demonstrated understanding of Engineering theories and principles
- Able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of the organization
- Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills
- Demonstrate the ability to work in complex environment often driven by project deadlines

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift - Monday to Friday

Experience:

- AutoCAD: 2 years (a must)
- Revit MEP: 2 years (preferred)
- Electrical Design: 2 years (preferred)

Applicants must reside in the GTA and be willing to commute, as this role requires full‑time, on‑site work in the office.
