About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Electrical Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully estimating electrical projects in both new construction and construction renovation environments.

This is an prospect for an estimator who understands the electrical trade, can accurately interpret drawings and specifications, and has the commercial awareness required to develop competitive, profitable bids.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for electrical construction projects.
- Review architectural, electrical, mechanical, structural drawings and project specifications.
- Perform detailed quantity take-offs for labour, materials, equipment and subcontracted work.
- Develop detailed project budgets and bid proposals.
- Solicit and evaluate quotations from suppliers, subcontractors and vendors.
- Identify project scope, exclusions, inclusions, risks and potential change-order opportunities.
- Analyze plans and specifications to identify discrepancies, omissions and potential estimating risks.
- Maintain accurate estimating records and documentation.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, electricians, suppliers and other stakeholders.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits and project reviews as required.
- Assist with project handover from estimating to the project management team.
- Track market pricing, labour costs and material costs to maintain accurate estimates.
- Meet bid deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator in the construction industry.




- Strong experience estimating new construction and renovation projects.
- Solid understanding of commercial and/or industrial electrical systems and construction practices.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications and construction documents.
- Strong knowledge of electrical materials, equipment, labour requirements and installation methods.
- Demonstrated history of successful project estimating and bidding.
- Strong mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a broader project team.

What We’re Looking For We are looking for someone who is more than simply a take-off specialist. Our ideal candidate understands how electrical projects are actually built and can use that experience to develop estimates that are accurate, competitive and profitable.

You should be comfortable identifying potential problems before a project is awarded, understanding the impact of construction conditions on cost, and making sound estimating decisions based on experience and judgement.

A successful candidate will bring a combination of technical electrical knowledge, construction experience, estimating expertise and commercial awareness.

Pay: Up to $85,000.00 per year
