Job Summary

West Electric is looking for an experienced Red Seal Electrical Foreman to lead high-end residential projects in Whistler and the Sea-to-Sky corridor.

This role is suited to someone who takes ownership of their projects, communicates well, and can keep a crew organized while maintaining the quality and attention to detail expected in custom homes.

Responsibilities

- Lead and coordinate electricians and apprentices on site
- Review electrical drawings, specifications, panel schedules, and project requirements
- Plan daily and upcoming work to keep projects moving efficiently
- Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, designers, and other trades
- Identify material, equipment, and labour requirements in advance
- Monitor workmanship, productivity, and project progress
- Manage changes and communicate site issues clearly
- Ensure work complies with applicable electrical codes, Technical Safety BC requirements, and project specifications
- Support and mentor apprentices and junior electricians
- Maintain organized project documentation and site records

Qualifications




- Red Seal Construction Electrician certification
- Proven experience running high-end residential electrical projects
- Experience leading and organizing a crew
- Strong knowledge of electrical drawings and applicable codes
- Excellent troubleshooting, planning, and communication skills
- High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Valid driver’s licence

Experience with lighting controls, home automation, Lutron systems, or an FSR certification would be considered an asset.
