About the Position

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Electrician to join our growing electrical contracting company. We are looking for someone who is professional, reliable, knowledgeable, and takes pride in doing the job correctly and safely.

The successful candidate must be able to understand electrical systems, read and interpret electrical drawings, troubleshoot problems, work independently, and complete installations to a high professional standard.

This position is ideal for an electrician who knows their trade, can take responsibility for their work, and does not require constant supervision.

Responsibilities

- Perform electrical installations, repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Install and terminate wiring, conduits, panels, breakers, receptacles, switches, lighting, and other electrical equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and accurately identify faults and problems.
- Perform residential, commercial, and building electrical work.
- Complete service calls and diagnose electrical issues efficiently.
- Install and maintain 120V, 208V, 240V, 347V, and 600V electrical systems as required.
- Perform panel work, circuit installations, equipment connections, and electrical upgrades.
- Follow ESA requirements, the Ontario Electrical Safety Code, and all applicable safety regulations.
- Properly perform Lockout/Tagout procedures when required.
- Work safely and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Communicate professionally with customers, property managers, contractors, and other trades.
- Complete work according to drawings, specifications, and company standards.
- Identify materials and equipment required to complete jobs.




- Take responsibility for the quality and completion of assigned work.

Qualifications
- Licensed 309A Construction & Maintenance Electrician preferred/required.
- Strong knowledge of electrical installations, troubleshooting, and electrical code requirements.
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to properly identify electrical hazards and work safely.
- Valid driver’s licence is an asset.
- ESA experience and knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Safety Code are strong assets.
- Experience with commercial buildings, high-rise buildings, service work, and renovations is an asset.
