● 3-5 years of experience in embedded firmware development, ideally within downhole, oilfield, industrial, or similarly rugged environments

● Robust proficiency in embedded C for microcontroller/microprocessor platforms

● Experience with real-time, resource-constrained embedded systems (interrupts, RTOS or bare-metal scheduling, memory-constrained designs)

● Strong understanding of communication protocols relevant to embedded systems (e.g., SPI, I2C, UART, CAN)

● Ability to read schematics and use lab equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter, logic analyzer) to support debug

Good to Have

● Hardware development experience is an asset (schematic review, PCB layout awareness, bench debugging)

● Experience with Texas Instruments (TI) microprocessors/microcontrollers

● Experience with Microchip dsPIC microcontrollers

● Familiarity with Code Composer Studio (CCS) IDE

● Prior experience with downhole tools or MWD/LWD/RSS systems

● Experience with high temperature electronics design or qualification

Additional Skills

● Exceptional attention to detail; comfortable working to high standards of quality in a reliability-critical domain

● Strong problem-solving skills and a methodical, process-oriented approach to debugging

● Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small, fast-paced team
