English Language Arts (ELA)

We are looking for a passionate and experienced English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher to join our academic team in Calgary, Alberta

QualificationsRequired

- Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate issued by Alberta Education.
- Minimum 1 years of ELA teaching experience in a Calgary public school or private school.
- Strong knowledge of the Alberta K–12 English Language Arts Curriculum and assessment standards.
- Experience teaching reading, writing, literature, grammar, and communication skills.
- Excellent student engagement skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging ELA lessons aligned with Alberta curriculum outcomes.
- Assess student learning and provide meaningful feedback to students and parents.
- Develop lesson plans, assignments, and instructional materials.
- Support students in improving reading comprehension,



academic writing, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Track student progress and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with parents and educational staff to support student success.

Position Details
- Location: Calgary, Alberta
- Position Type: Part time / Contract
- Work Schedule: Flexible weekday evenings and/or weekends
- Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on qualifications and experience
