The Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Lead joins the Data Center Facility Operations team to work closely with the global EHS team and local data center site management. This on-site role is designed to develop and implement proven EHS programs, acting as a thought leader to keep all data center employees and partners safe while working at the facilities, ensuring strict compliance with EHS standards.
The EHS Lead is responsible for delivering and tracking all necessary health and safety training for onsite employees and contingent workers, maintaining accurate training records. They identify and ensure compliance with all local, state, federal, and company health, safety, and environmental policies, including tracking all necessary records and documentation.
Providing functional direction to contracted services is a key duty,
along with establishing and growing positive cross-functional relationships with all site teams to gain alignment on strategic priorities. The EHS Lead partners with vendors to uphold EHS requirements on site and assists in the development and implementation of organization-wide EHS standards and guidelines.
They develop site-based plans for the implementation and on-going management of global EHS standards, building and maintaining a site safety posture that engages site leadership and team members as active participants. The EHS Lead actively supports incident investigations, root cause analyses, and injury case management, maintains operational safety programs, reviews site work procedures to assign risk levels, and participates in the design of facilities and work procedures to make safety recommendations.
Candidates must have 7+ years of experience working in the Environmental, Health and Safety field.
Alternatively, a BS degree in safety or health sciences, or a related discipline, combined with 3+ years of experience is acceptable.
10+ years of experience in the EHS field, experience working in a mission-critical environment, and familiarity with NFPA 70E, management of federal regulations,
and/or environmental permitting processes.
EHS certifications from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) or an equivalent international agency are highly desired, along with experience in procedure-based work.

A flexible, hybrid work approach that allows colleagues to find balance between their professional and personal lives The base salary range for this full-time role is $98,000 - $148,000 per year.
