Job Overview

As an Environmental Project Lead, you will be responsible for quoting, estimating, coordinating, and overseeing asbestos and environmental abatement projects (including complete mould removal, asbestos abatement, odour control, etc.) ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining a safe work workplace from start to finish. This role blends technical expertise, project coordination, client communication, and team leadership.

You will lead crews in the field, prepare accurate estimates, coordinate schedules, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and in compliance with all regulations

REPORTING: Report directly to an Environmental Division Manager.

Duties

- Plan, organize, and supervise asbestos abatement projects from start to finish.
- Conduct inspections to assess the presence of asbestos and develop abatement strategies.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure project requirements are met.
- Train and supervise team members on proper handling and disposal of asbestos materials
- Working in confined spaces like crawl spaces/attics.
- Level 1, 2 and 3 mould remediation
- Type 1,



2 and 3 asbestos abatement.
- Trauma/Biohazard abatement.
- Assist with tear out and demolition of all damaged finishes.
- Removing Asbestos/Lead/Mold from ceilings, walls, beams, boilers, and other structures following hazardous waste handling guidelines;
- Constructing containment units;
- Assisting with other non-asbestos work orders
- Providing assistance on general construction jobs
- Other duties as assigned

Skills:
- Mandatory -Required licensed Asbestos Worker(MTCU 253-W) or willing to get trained on one
- Mandatory -Valid class “G” Driver’s License with clean abstract;
- Proven track record of reliability, honesty, and hard work
- Basic technical /computer skills
- Previous experience in the restoration/abatement industry
- Previous experience in the restoration field including water extraction and water damage, residential or commercial emergency cleaning and general restoration experience will be beneficial
- Proven ability to work on your own OR to lead a crew
- Ability to work a limited rotation of after-hours and "on call" shifts
- Be capable of lifting heavy objects daily- More than 80lb.
- A positive, 'can-do" attitude
- IICRC Certification will be preferred and eventually required

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
