Purpose and Overview:

The Environmental Projects Manager supports the delivery of Pan American Silver's environmental strategies and programs, with a primary focus on coordinating and providing technical and strategic support to operations and corporate teams on environmental projects across the portfolio.

This role reports to the VP, Environment and works closely with corporate environment team and site-based environment teams to translate corporate environment strategy into operational execution, ensuring alignment with Pan American Silver's standards, regulatory requirements, sustainability commitments across the Company’s operating, development, closure, and reclamation sites.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support site teams in implementing corporate environmental initiatives related to closure planning, water management, reclamation, and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate and support environmental aspects of mine expansion and development projects, with a focus on water management, environmental controls, permitting, closure planning, and risk mitigation, including projects at La Colorada, Jacobina, and other operations.
- Support the development, implementation, and periodic review of mine closure plans across the portfolio, ensuring closure strategies are technically sound, progressively implemented,



and aligned with corporate objectives.
- Support closure execution, reclamation activities, and post-closure programs, providing technical oversight and guidance to site teams.
- Lead reviews of site-level environmental management practices and promote continuous improvement by benchmarking against recognized industry standards, including Towards Sustainable Mining (TSM), and the ICMM Integrated Mine Closure Guide.
- Research emerging environmental technologies, stewardship practices, and industry trends to support innovation and continuous improvement across the portfolio.
- Contribute to the annual closure cost estimation process by coordinating with site and corporate teams to compile, validate, and analyze liability estimate inputs.
- Participate in, and when required lead, the corporate integrated audit program in accordance with the Board HSE Committee Mandate.
- Review environmental performance data and site reporting to identify risks, trends, and improvement opportunities, and develop actionable recommendations.
- Support ESG and sustainability reporting, including environmental performance indicators, the annual sustainability report, and external ESG assessments.
- Track progress against corporate environmental goals and support the enhancement of environmental reporting systems and performance metrics.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and briefing materials for senior management, the Board of Directors, regulators, and external stakeholders.
- Mentor and support site-based environmental professionals through technical coaching, knowledge sharing, and alignment with corporate standards.
- Travel to operations and project sites to provide hands-on technical support and assess environmental performance, reclamation progress, closure readiness, and project execution.

Required Professional Skills, Experience and Qualifications:





- Graduate degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, or a related discipline.
- 7+ years of progressive, technical experience in the mining industry, gained at a mining company, consultancy, or similar, with a focus on environmental management, mine waste and water.
- Fluency in Spanish, and/or Portuguese (required)
- Strong understanding of projects and operational environment management, including water management, land disturbance and site-level regulatory requirements.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to build relationships across multidisciplinary and cross-cultural teams and mentor site-based professionals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to prepare clear reports and present to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to change.
- A team-oriented, team-oriented approach with a demonstrated commitment to mentorship and professional development.
- Collaborative, analytical, strategic, and self-motivated.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; comfort with environmental data management systems is an asset.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% of the time.

Preferred:

- Familiarity with ESG reporting frameworks such as TSM and similar frameworks.
- Knowledge of Latin American business culture and regulatory environments.
