Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced
EPIC Security Analyst / Consultant to support the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of security within the Epic EHR environment. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with
Epic Security
, user provisioning, security templates, access controls, and troubleshooting within Epic applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and maintain Epic security settings, security classes, templates, and user access.
- Manage user provisioning, roles, profiles, and access permissions within Epic.
- Analyze and resolve security/access-related issues and user requests.
- Work with application teams, clinical teams, and other stakeholders to determine appropriate access levels.
- Support Epic implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and optimization projects.
- Develop and maintain security workflows, standards, and documentation.
- Perform security audits and access reviews to ensure appropriate user permissions.
- Troubleshoot issues related to Epic security, login/access, workflows, and application permissions.
- Support testing and validation of security configurations during system changes and upgrades.
- Collaborate with technical and functional teams to identify and resolve security-related defects.
- Ensure security configurations align with organizational policies and healthcare compliance requirements.
- Participate in project meetings, requirements gathering, testing, go-live, and post-production support activities.
- Provide training and guidance to end users and internal teams when required.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Epic Security.
- Strong understanding of Epic user security and access management.
- Experience configuring security classes, templates, roles, profiles, and permissions.
- Experience supporting Epic implementations, upgrades, or optimization projects.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as with cross-functional teams.
- Healthcare IT / EHR experience is required.
Epic Certification
- Epic Security certification is required, depending on the client requirement.
- Candidates should be able to provide valid Epic certification details when requested.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with multiple Epic applications/modules.
- Experience with Epic Hyperspace security.
- Experience supporting large healthcare organizations or hospital systems.
- Knowledge of healthcare security, privacy, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with Epic production support and access-management processes.
- Experience working with distributed or remote project teams.
