Responsibilities

Tasks

- Interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications to plan methods or sequences of operation

- Operate heavy equipment

- Read blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements

- Use International Organization for Standardization (ISO) pattern joystick controls

- Use Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) controls pattern

- Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks

- Understand the purpose, proper usgage and information found on material safety data sheets (MSDS)

- Complete onboard and other logs

- Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment

- Prepare accident reports

- Secure special attachments to equipment

- Perform minor repairs to equipment
