About Us
Beverley & Associates is a reputable Licensed Insolvency Trustee in Prince George, BC, dedicated to providing compassionate and professional debt relief services. Our team is expanding, and we are seeking an experienced Estate Manager/Administrator to join our client-focused team.
Position Overview The Estate Manager/Administrator will play a pivotal role in managing the administration of estates under the supervision of a Licensed Insolvency Trustee. This position involves direct client interaction, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and overseeing the efficient administration of estate matters. The position also involves certain managerial roles within the firm.
Key Responsibilities:
Banking Review
- Review Client Account Allocations: Monitor and review account allocations of funds received to ensure accurate and timely processing. Allocate GST cheques and income tax refund cheques appropriately.
- Manage Pre-Authorized Payments: Set up and maintain pre-authorized payment schedules, ensuring all payments are processed as per agreements.
- Monitor Daily Withdrawals: Oversee daily withdrawals, ensuring they align with estate requirements and are properly documented.
- Check for NSF Transactions: Regularly check for Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF) transactions and take appropriate action to resolve any issues.
Court Preparation
- Prepare Court Recommendations: Draft and prepare court recommendations, materials and consent forms.
Asset File Management
- Maintain Asset Files: Ensure all asset files are accurately maintained and up-to-date.
- Coordinate Asset Dispositions: Oversee the disposition of assets, ensuring proper valuation, documentation, sale process, etc.
Consumer Proposal Administration
- "45 Day Review": Review votes for the acceptance or rejection of Consumer Proposals.
- Organize Meetings of Creditors: Set up and coordinate meetings of creditors, ensuring all necessary documentation is prepared and distributed.
- Manage Counter Offers: Send and receive counter offers, facilitating negotiations between parties.
- Prepare Proposal Documents: Prepare all necessary documents for creditor meetings and amended proposals.
- Monitor Revival & Amended Proposal Processes: Oversee revival monitoring, amendments to proposals, and ensure compliance with all relevant procedures.
Monthly Payment Reviews
- Review Payment Schedules: Conduct monthly reviews of payment schedules to ensure adherence to agreed terms.
- Address Payment Issues: Identify and address any issues related to payments, coordinating with relevant parties as necessary.
Internal Office Management
- Assist the Licensed Insolvency Trustee and other management with certain internal managerial tasks.
Reception Backup
- Occasionally cover reception when other staff members are sick or on vacation.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma. Post secondary education in business administration or a related field is considered a solid asset.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working in an office or business related field. Experience in estate administration or insolvency is considered a strong asset.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of estate administration processes, legal requirements, and financial management.
- Skills: Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
- Detail Oriented: Must be extremely detail oriented. This includes paying close attention to specifics of all tasks, being thorough, and ensuring accuracy in your work.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $27.00 per hour
