We are looking for an experienced New Home Construction Estimator to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in residential construction who understands the estimating process from plans through to completion and is comfortable working on custom home builds.

You will be responsible for preparing accurate, detailed estimates and budgets while working closely with our construction, design, and project management teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Review architectural drawings, specifications, and project documents.
- Prepare detailed estimates for new home construction projects.
- Develop accurate material, labour, subcontractor, and project cost estimates.
- Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing.
- Identify scope gaps, potential cost risks, and opportunities for savings.
- Work on both standard and highly customized residential builds.
- Assist with bid preparation, budgeting, and project cost planning.
- Communicate with suppliers, trades, designers, and project managers.
- Maintain organized and accurate estimating records.
- Review project changes and provide updated pricing as required.
- Help ensure estimates are competitive while maintaining project profitability.

Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience as a residential construction estimator is required.
- Strong understanding of new home construction and custom home building.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and construction specifications.
- Solid knowledge of residential construction methods, materials, and trades.




- Experience obtaining and comparing subcontractor and supplier quotes.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Solid communication and negotiation skills.
- Comfortable working with multiple projects and deadlines.
- Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office; experience with Buildertrend is an asset.
