Euphoria is a nightlife and hospitality venue committed to delivering high-quality guest experiences in a safe, energetic, and well-managed environment.

Our Host and Promotion team plays an important role in building our community, creating energy inside the venue, and connecting Euphoria with Edmonton's nightlife audience.

We are currently seeking outgoing, social, and well-connected individuals to join our team as Host / Promoters.

This position is available at two levels: P1 and P2. Applicants must specify which position they are applying for.

Role Responsibilities

This role is best suited to someone who genuinely enjoys meeting people, going out, building relationships, and bringing groups together.

As a Host / Promoter, you will help create an energetic and welcoming setting both inside and outside of the nightclub.

During operating nights, Hosts are expected to engage with guests and contribute to the overall energy and atmosphere of the venue. A strong Host knows how to connect with people naturally, make guests feel welcome, bring groups together, and encourage participation in a way that feels genuine, social, and well suited to the environment.

On the promotion side, you will help develop attendance by maintaining relationships, inviting guests, promoting upcoming events, and actively connecting Euphoria with people who are interested in nightlife, music, events, and social experiences.

This role is responsible for:

- Welcoming and engaging with guests throughout the night.
- Helping create an energetic, social, and inclusive atmosphere within the venue.
- Engaging with guests in a natural and approachable way to help build energy, encourage social interaction, and contribute to the overall atmosphere of the venue.
- Building and maintaining relationships with guests and prospective customers.
- Inviting guests and groups to Euphoria's regular nights, special events, and performances.
- Promoting upcoming events through personal networks, direct outreach, social media, and other approved promotional channels.




- Maintaining regular communication with the promotion and management team.
- Working collaboratively with other Hosts, Promoters, DJs, artists, security, and venue staff.
- Representing Euphoria professionally both inside the venue and within Edmonton's nightlife community.
- Supporting promotional initiatives and special events as required.

P1 – Host / Promoter P1 is the entry level of the Host / Promoter position.

This role is intended for individuals who are naturally social, have an active group of friends or social network, regularly attend nightlife or social events, and are interested in becoming more involved in Edmonton's nightlife industry.

Previous professional promotion experience is not required.

P1 candidates may have limited experience organizing events, working within a nightclub promotion team, collaborating with artists, or developing relationships with other venues.

We are looking for people with the personality, social ability, reliability, and motivation to develop those skills.

Strong P1 candidates are

- Highly outgoing and comfortable approaching new people.
- Socially active and regularly connected with friends, groups, events, or nightlife.
- Comfortable inviting people to events and maintaining relationships.
- Friendly, approachable, and confident in social environments.
- Reliable and able to work as part of a coordinated team.
- Interested in learning more about nightclub promotion, hosting, events, and the nightlife industry.
- Able to receive coaching and apply feedback.

P2 – Host / Promoter P2 is intended for candidates who already have experience within nightlife, entertainment, events, or venue promotion.

Ideal P2 candidates may have previously worked as promoters, hosts, event organizers, nightlife staff, artist representatives, or in similar positions.

They may also have established relationships with local DJs, artists, promoters, venues, organizations, or groups within Edmonton's nightlife community.

In addition to the standard Host / Promoter responsibilities,



P2 team members are expected to bring a greater level of experience, independence, industry knowledge, and promotional capability to the team.

Preference for P2 will be given to candidates with:

- Previous nightclub, venue, or event promotion experience.
- Experience organizing or promoting events.
- An established network within Edmonton's nightlife community.
- Relationships with local artists, DJs, promoters, venues, or event organizations.
- Experience building guest lists or generating attendance for events.
- Strong knowledge of Edmonton's nightlife and entertainment market.
- Experience working collaboratively with a promotion or event team.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional relationships.

Compensation Both P1 and P2 positions are compensated at $15 per hour plus commission.

The commission structure differs between P1 and P2 based on the responsibilities and experience associated with each position.

Full details regarding commission structure and performance expectations will be provided to final candidates during the interview and selection process.

Availability

Successful candidates must be available for evening and late-night work, particularly on Fridays, Saturdays, special events, and other key operating nights.

The nature of promotion also requires some activity outside scheduled venue hours, including maintaining relationships, communicating with guests, and promoting upcoming events.

What We Look For The most important quality for this position is the ability to connect with people.

We are looking for individuals who are confident without being aggressive, outgoing without being uncomfortable or forced, and capable of making people feel welcome.

Strong Hosts and Promoters understand how to read a social environment. They know when to introduce themselves, when to bring people together, when to encourage a group onto the dance floor, and when to give guests space.

For P1 candidates, industry experience can be developed. Personality, social ability, reliability, and willingness to learn are more important.

For P2 candidates, we are looking for those same qualities combined with meaningful nightlife experience, industry relationships, and a demonstrated ability to contribute to successful events.
