Muskoka Life Homes is growing, and we are looking for an experienced Carpenter to join our team.
We are seeking a skilled and dependable individual who takes pride in quality craftsmanship, works well with others and independently, and is committed to maintaining a safe and professional job site.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complete residential carpentry work according to project plans and specifications
- Perform rough and finish carpentry as required for each project
- Read and interpret drawings, measurements and construction plans
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship, accuracy and attention to detail
- Work collaboratively with project leaders, coworkers and other trades
- Help maintain clean, organized and safe job sites
- Complete assigned work efficiently while meeting project timelines
- Willing to work overtime when required to meet scheduled goals.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of 5 (five) years of professional carpentry experience or more is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of upscale residential construction practices and materials
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Reliable, professional and able to communicate respectfully with supervisors,
coworkers, clients and other trades
- Ability to travel reliably to project sites throughout the Muskoka and Orillia area
- Willingness to grow
- Availability of working overtime during busy project periods
- Appropriate safety footwear and personal protective equipment to meet code requirements
- A valid driver’s license, acceptable driver’s abstract and reliable transportation are required
- Other construction related experience an asset – applicants should list all associated skills and experience i.e. machines, tools and equipment competencies and capabilities
