Citrus Pharmacy is looking to bring on a pharmacy assistant to the team. Experience in Pharmacy is a must, ideal candidate will be competent in Kroll. Candidate must be available to work Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday (approximately 35-40 hours/week), please do not apply if this schedule is not possible for you.
Pay range is based on experience. Please note that this is a very busy Pharmacy and only candidates that show the ability to learn new technologies (custom software we have developed) will be interviewed.
Citrus Pharmacy is an independent Pharmacy located inside a medical clinic with 10+ family doctors. The ideal candidate will:
- Be flexible in their schedule to accommodate for staff absences and stay back when required during busier hours of the day
- Show initiative in making sure the pharmacy runs smoothly
- Provide training to any new staff that are brought on
- Willing to commit to at least a year term, however we are interested in someone who sees themselves staying the long term with the pharmacy
A 30 minute paid lunch break is given with flexibility on when to take it,
not available on Saturday due to the short shift. The ideal candidate will be available to cover absences.
Additional duties include
- Filling prescriptions
- Monthly expired checks
- Making Tang and ensuring utensils and glassware is cleaned
- Temperature logging every day on open and close
- Answering the phone
- Cashing out patients
- Occasional deliveries may be required in the area
- Filling over the counter stock
- Entering and updating prices for over the counter stock in the POS system
- Making blister packs with accuracy
- Gathering insurance information over the phone
- Arranging and entering deliveries into the online portal
- Triaging phone calls that need to be passed onto a pharmacist vs can be handled by yourself
- Ability to assist with occasional local deliveries; access to a car is considered an asset.
