Experienced Low-Voltage / Structured Cabling Technician – Night Shift

Fusion Alarms is hiring experienced low-voltage and structured cabling technicians for commercial installation projects.

This position is for technicians with real hands-on field experience. We are not currently hiring helpers or entry-level applicants.

Schedule

Projects are primarily completed overnight:

- Sunday: 7:00 PM – 3:00 AM
- Monday–Friday: 8:00 PM – 5:00 AM

Applicants must be available for overnight work and able to commit to the full project schedule.

Travel Requirement

Travel is mandatory for this position.

Technicians will be required to travel to different commercial project sites as needed. Applicants must have reliable transportation and be willing and able to travel regularly for work.

Responsibilities

- Pulling, routing and terminating low-voltage cabling
- CAT5e/CAT6 structured cabling
- Installing and mounting electronic equipment and sensors
- Reading installation plans and site layouts
- Professional cable management and finishing
- Testing and troubleshooting cabling
- Working from ladders and in commercial environments
- Following site-specific installation standards
- Working independently and as part of a larger installation crew
- Completing installations efficiently while maintaining high workmanship standards
- Maintaining a clean and skilled work area

Required Experience Applicants must have previous hands-on experience in one or more of the following:
- Commercial structured cabling
- Low-voltage installations
- CAT5e/CAT6 cabling
- Cable termination and testing
- Security system installations
- CCTV installations
- Access control
- Network cabling
- Commercial retail installations




- Equipment mounting and device installation

Requirements

Applicants must

- Have proven low-voltage or structured cabling experience
- Be reliable and punctual
- Be available for overnight shifts
- Have reliable transportation
- Be willing and able to travel regularly — travel is mandatory
- Be comfortable working from ladders
- Have safety boots
- Have their own basic installation tools
- Be able to communicate effectively in English
- Be able to work professionally in active commercial environments
- Be able to follow instructions and installation standards without constant supervision

Having your own ladder, additional testing equipment and specialized low-voltage tools is considered a strong asset.

Important

This is not an entry-level position.

We are specifically looking for technicians who can arrive on site and contribute immediately. Applicants should have genuine field experience pulling cable, terminating, mounting equipment and completing commercial installations.
