Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Manual Cylindrical and Surface Grinder Machinist. The ideal candidate will work closely with the owner and must be comfortable setting up and operating manual grinding machines independently.

Responsibilities

- Set up and operate manual cylindrical and surface grinding machines
- Perform precision internal diameter (ID) and outside diameter (OD) grinding
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings and work instructions
- Produce parts to specified dimensions, tolerances and surface finishes
- Select, mount and dress grinding wheels
- Inspect finished work using micrometers, bore gauges, calipers, dial indicators and other precision measuring instruments
- Make machine adjustments and troubleshoot grinding or quality issues
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area

Qualifications

- Minimum five years of relevant manual grinding experience




- Proven experience with cylindrical, surface, ID and OD grinding
- Ability to set up and operate manual grinding machines independently
- Strong blueprint-reading and precision-measurement skills
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Dependable, safety-conscious and able to work effectively in a small shop environment
- Working English sufficient to understand technical drawings, work instructions and workplace safety requirements
- Hungarian is an asset but is not required

Full-Time or Part-Time The regular day shift is from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This position may be structured as either full time or part-time. Part-time days and hours can be discussed and are flexible based on availability. Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
