Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of carpenters and construction workers, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to ensure high-quality work.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute project plans.
- Perform or oversee concrete forming, rebar installation, masonry, roofing, siding, and other structural tasks with precision.
- Install cabinets, flooring, tiles, siding, and perform finishing work such as painting and caulking to achieve polished results.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards; conduct safety inspections regularly.
- Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to facilitate smooth project execution from start to finish.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and other equipment efficiently while maintaining safety protocols.
- Oversee heavy lifting operations and manage the assembly of complex structures or components as needed.
Skills
- Extensive experience in carpentry with a strong understanding of construction processes across multiple disciplines.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings; familiarity with construction estimating software is a plus.
- Skilled in concrete forming, masonry, rebar installation, roofing, siding installation, tile laying, flooring installation, cabinetry installation, and painting.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, heavy lifting equipment, and assembly techniques.
- Knowledge of building codes, safety standards (OSHA or equivalent), and industry best practices for construction sites.
- Ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining high standards of quality and safety compliance.
- Robust communication skills for coordinating with clients and team members; capable of interpreting technical instructions clearly.
- Experience in restoration projects involving woodworking or structural repairs; handyman experience is advantageous.
- Familiarity with plumbing and electrical systems relevant to general carpentry tasks; ability to troubleshoot common issues is beneficial.

Education
- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

- Carpentry: 5 years (preferred)
