Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Construction Labourer to join our dynamic siding and roofing team. In this vital role, you will be instrumental in supporting various phases of construction projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality at every step. Seeking indviduals with siding experience of all various kinds and experience with roofing.

This is a casual position that will grow over time into part-time. Once hours reach over 24 hours per week, there are employer paid extended health benefits. As this business grows this could also lean into a fulltime position.

Duties

- Assist with the preparation and cleanup of construction sites, including unloading materials and setting up work areas
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform tasks such as framing, demolition, or material handling
- Support carpentry tasks including measuring, cutting, and installing structures based on schematics and blueprints
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate project execution




- Perform restoration work by repairing or refurbishing existing structures with precision
- Support siding, roofing, and other specialized trades as directed by supervisors or skilled tradespeople

Requirements

- Proven experience in construction or related manual labor roles; familiarity with various trades is a plus
- Proficiency with hand tools and basic power tools required for construction tasks
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Knowledge of construction safety protocols and ability to follow safety guidelines diligently
- Can't be afraid of heights
- Need to be able to work in high heat temperatures
- Need t be able to work in cold conditions up to -25 C
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills
- Valid driver’s license is preferred; willingness to learn multiple trade skills such as siding and roofing
