Scope of the Position

Reporting to the Area Manager you will oversee day-to-day production and scheduling activities within the Fabrication and Router departments. The Fabrication and Router departments are responsible for the fabrication and assembly of aluminum and steel signs, and sign components.

Key Objectives and Accountabilities

- Supports the framework for growth and change by providing leadership through coaching, mentoring and training opportunities (T.O’s).
- Schedule jobs to build product efficiently and on time, ready to go site at least two days before promised.
- Verify material availability to ensure efficient workflow and schedule attainment.
- Ensure Quality Standards and Objectives are attained.
- Ensure smooth and efficient transition of workflow across departments

Essential Functions

- Carry out leadership responsibilities in accordance with company philosophies and applicable law that include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; generating positive feedback and constructive criticism; addressing all employee concerns and provide resolution; support team by providing technical expertise; plan and assign all work in a fair, equitable and ethical manner.
- Plan, schedule,



and monitor production activities to ensure on-time delivery while managing and overseeing overtime requirements efficiently.
- Conduct daily team meetings to ensure alignment and clear communication of priorities.
- Confidently present updates and information during Production Meetings, effectively addressing the audience.
- Lead by example in upholding strong quality standards, actively working to reduce rework, and contribute innovative ideas for continuous quality improvement.
- Develop, review and measure production activities, identify opportunities for improvement, lead kaizen initiatives and training opportunities.
- Set up and assign the workforce with the daily objectives and work orders.
- Oversee the creation of programming for router operations.
- Ensure instructions are clearly communicated, understood and team is meeting expectations.
- Communication of Change Notices, ensuring team members have current information.
- Troubleshoot technical difficulties, facilitate problem solving and collaboration through direction from supervisor.
- Work collaboratively with internal resources to continuously develop and improve processes that ensure costs are contained and within work order expectations.
- Other duties as required

Skills, Knowledge, Education & Experience

- Industrial engineering, technologies or equivalent work experience




- Minimum of 8 years in custom fabrication and welding experience
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership role
- Creative problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong computer skills in Outlook, Work and Excel & ERP systems

Supervisory & Management Responsibility

- Plan and oversee the work of the Fabrication and Router manufacturing operations
- Steel and Aluminum welding and fabrication (brake, shear, saws, punch, notch etc)
- Router Operations and programming
