The successful candidate will safely and efficiently perform the duties of a Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic in an assigned area on an assigned shift.
Reporting to the maintenance supervisor you will work as part of a team and be responsible for servicing the plant equipment and underground mining equipment. Work safely in an industrial setting and able to follow the procedures and policies that are in place. Inspect, diagnose, adjust, repair, fabricate, modify, and install plant equipment and or mining related equipment.
Be able to work in the field, shop or underground.
Basic computer skills and ability to communicate and report any deficiencies or corrections noticed during routine maintenance or inspections either verbally or in writing. Willingness to learn and gain adequate knowledge and experience through training.
The position will require working on surface or underground as assigned. You may also be required to work a shift rotation requiring weekend work. A recognized, valid, Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic's Red Seal Certificate.
Full knowledge of cutting and welding practices. The ability to discern the state of mechanical condition of machines and equipment and take appropriate action. Employment is subject to successfully completing Mosaic's pre-employment checks including criminal, drug and alcohol testing.
