We are hiring for a Full time Facility/Ice Maintenance position in our Westwood Arena facility.
The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, hard working and will have a positive attitude. Experience with operating ice resurface equipment is preferred. You must be willing to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends. If this sounds like you, apply now!
Job Summary
- Drive an ice resurface machine to resurface ice hockey rinks
- Preform ice and rink maintenance - edging, adding water where needed and minor board/glass repairs
- Monitor and maintain refrigeration equipment and ensure logs are kept up to date and accurate
- Cleaning and maintaining dressing rooms
- General maintenance and Janitorial work as assigned
- Maintain outside grounds of facility
- Contribute to a positive and safe work environment
Requirement
- Demonstrate mechanical aptitude
- Experience operating resurface equipment (Zamboni or Olympia) is preferred
- Experience maintaining arenas is an asset
- Evening and weekend availability is required
- Good driving record
- A desire to serve the sports community is a bonus
