Company Description Chennais Amirta International Institute of Hotel Management (CAIIHM) is a leading hospitality education institution that began its journey in 2010 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Role Description This is a full time, on-site Faculty Member role based in Cochin, SK.
The Faculty
Member will design and deliver engaging lectures and practical sessions in hospitality and hotel management, following the institution’s curriculum and academic standards.
Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments; mentoring and advising students on academic and career development; and supervising practical training, projects, and internships.
The role also involves participating in curriculum enhancement, academic planning, and internal evaluations, as well as maintaining accurate records of student performance and attendance.
Faculty
Members are expected to collaborate with colleagues, contribute to academic events and workshops, and support initiatives that strengthen industry partnerships and student placement outcomes.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in hospitality, hotel management, or related disciplines, with the ability to teach both theoretical and practical components.
- Demonstrated skills in classroom instruction, student mentoring, and academic assessment.
- Effective communication skills, including clear presentation, active listening, and the ability to engage diverse learners.
- Organizational and time-management skills to handle lesson planning, grading, and academic administration responsibilities.
- Ability to collaborate with academic and administrative teams and contribute to curriculum development and institutional initiatives.
- Relevant academic qualification such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, or a closely related field.
- Prior teaching or training experience in hospitality or hotel management, or substantial industry experience in star hotels or comparable establishments.
- Commitment to student success, continuous learning, and maintaining high professional and ethical standards.
