4-step primary health care compensation grid for a 1.0 FTE position inclusive of 220 clinic days per year, ER, and on-call requirements.
The community of Carlyle is seeking a skilled, compassionate, and patient-focused family medicine physician to join their primary health care team. The successful candidate will provide primary health care services to individuals and families across all ages and backgrounds, from pediatric to geriatric care. You will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing a variety of conditions while fostering solid, long-term relationships with patients. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative and supportive environment.
This position requires providing 24 hour on-call coverage in both Carlyle and Arcola for the following services: emergency room, hospital in-patients, home care and long term care residents as well as critical lab values. Scheduling of these responsibilities will be arranged equitably and collaboratively with the other physicians providing physician and primary health services in Carlyle and Arcola.
This position will remain open until filled and may be filled prior to the posted closing date.
Relocation Package
The successful candidate may be eligible for:
- 3 months free housing from the Moose Mountain Health Care Corp.
- The Rural Physician Incentive Program which provides up to $200,000 over five years to family physicians practising, or returning to practice, in rural and remote communities in Saskatchewan
- The SMA Retention Fund , which provides financial reward to physicians who practise full time in the province for extended periods of time ranging from $7,000 - $14,000 per year.
Job Qualifications
The candidate will hold certification or be eligible for certification from Successful applicants will be eligible for a provisional or regular license to practice in Saskatchewan with the The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) requires a Criminal Record Check (CRC) from every potential SHA team member. The CRC must be dated within the past six (6) months and be satisfactory to the SHA. A Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) is required for individuals providing patient, resident, or client care to vulnerable persons.

Carlyle is a small town in southeastern Saskatchewan. Estevan and Weyburn are the closest cities and both are over 100 kilometres away. Regina, the provincial capital, lies 200 km to the north-west. The town is 24 km (15 mi) south of Moose Mountain Provincial Park.
This park provides an ideal location for visitors to enjoy camping, swimming, boating, golf, tennis and daily programs. An extensive trail system for hiking, mountain biking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling also runs throughout the park.
