Semlin Valley Ranch, a mixed farming and cattle operation in the Cache Creek/Ashcroft area, is seeking a reliable and experienced Farm Equipment Operator to join our team on a full-time, year-round basis. This role suits someone who works well independently, has solid equipment experience, and takes pride in doing a job properly from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate tractors, loaders, sprayers, tillage and seeding equipment, combines, and related farm machinery
- Feed cattle and support day-to-day operations of the feedlot and cow-calf herd
- Carry out field preparation, seeding, spraying, irrigation, harvest, and silage work
- Maintain pens, yards, and roads, including manure screening and general upkeep
- Perform routine equipment maintenance, inspections, and basic repairs
- Operate GPS and precision agriculture systems, including monitors and guidance technology
- Maintain accurate records of field activities, chemical applications, maintenance, and inventory
- Support irrigation system upkeep and general infrastructure repairs
- Assist with grain, forage, silage, and other harvest operations as needed

Qualifications
- Previous experience in agriculture or with heavy equipment required




- Comfortable using computers, tablets, and GPS/precision-ag technology
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Clear communicator, able to work effectively within a team
- Valid driver’s licence required
- Non-smoking policy applies to work hours and company equipment

Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma, certificate, or degree in agriculture, agricultural production, agribusiness, mechanics, or a related field
- Class 1 driver’s licence
- Experience with John Deere equipment and precision agriculture systems
- Prior experience with cattle, irrigation, spraying, or commercial crop production

This is a long-term opportunity for someone looking to grow within the operation. The role offers a broad range of work throughout the year, with increasing responsibility as experience and familiarity with the operation develop. Schedule: Full-time, five days per week; additional hours required during peak seasons

Pay: $28.00-$38.00 per hour
